Meet Nathanial Prior: A Rising Talent in Canadian Karting
My name is Nathanial Prior, and I'm passionate about racing. My journey began in 2022 when I entered - and won - the Kartplex Junior Summer League in Oliver, British Columbia. Encouraged by my family's love for motorsport, I quickly developed a deep connection to the track. The weekend activity evolved into a focused pursuit of competitive excellence.
In 2023, with the support of my parents and a professional TB Kart chassis, I transitioned into regional competition. That season served as a critical development year, filled with learning moments, near-podium finishes, and a deep dive into the fundamentals of race craft. By 2024, I saw tangible growth, achieving podium placements and further refining my skills under race pressure. In 2025, I moved to the senior class of karting and although I was faced with greater competition, I also saw success and placed second in the BC Regionals. I also won the opportunity to attend Jacques Villeneuve's FEED Racing School in France and got my first experience in open wheel racing.
Looking ahead to 2026, I'm proud to be continuing to develop my racing skills in the senior class, one of the most competitive tiers in karting, while piloting the Jacques Villeneuve Racing edition by TB Kart. I'm also going to return to France to try to win a season in French F4 racing. This transition marks a major milestone in my racing career, and I'm ready to meet the challenge with determination, focus, and humility.
Outside the track, I commit hours to simulator training to sharpen my instincts and strategy - an essential part of my preparation. When I'm not racing or training, I enjoy skiing, but my true passion remains behind the wheel.
Guided by family, shaped by grit, and ready for the next challenge, I enter 2025 with a clear vision and a drive to compete at the highest level. I'm especially grateful to the sponsors and supporters who help make this journey possible.
